Reset Device After Network Account Removed
1. After you have been notified by EIT that your device has been removed, EIT recommends you perform a “Reset with Data”.
2. Be sure your device is connected to power
3. Login to the device using the administrator account. (Use new administrator account if you set up a new user account for your device)
4. Click <Start Menu>
5. Click <Settings>
6. Click <Update & Security>
7. Click <Recovery> from left navigation pane
8. Click <Get started> under “Reset this PC” under Recovery
9. Click <Keep my files>
10. Click <Local reinstall>
11. Confirm the settings:
Restore apps and settings which came with this PC
Reinstall Windows from this device
12. Under “Ready to reset this PC”, ensure “Keep personal files” is indicated under “Resetting will:”
13. Click <Reset> This will take over an hour
14. After device reboots login to device using the administrator account
15. Your device is now removed from RHIT and ready for personal use
