The purpose of this document is to provide clarity surrounding laptop availability.
Loaner Laptops – Loaner laptops are only available while you have a device at EIT being repaired and that repair is expected to take longer than three hours. These laptops are not available for any other reason.
These laptops are modern managed and may take an hour or more to setup after the user logs in. Depending on the academic software needed, it may take an additional hour or more to install before the laptop is ready for use. These laptops will only work for users with a valid faculty/staff/student account. There is not a generic login available.
Rental Laptops – There are a small number of rental laptops used for exchange students. If these laptops are not being used, they may be loaned out for short term usage during events.

DOF Laptops – The Dean of Faculty has a small pool of laptops that are assigned for academic needs. You will need to contact the Dean’s office to check on the availability of these laptops. EIT distributes these for the Dean but has nothing to do with determining who gets one or what they are used for.
