Students may request a loaner laptop if their laptop has been left at the EIT Service Desk for a repair for MORE than 3 Hours.  Rose-Hulman stocks a limited number of laptop computers that can be loaned out on a first come, first-served basis. The EIT Service Desk will usually provide students with the same model of laptop as the one that is being repaired.  When the laptop repair has been completed, students can exchange the loaner laptop for their repaired laptop.   If you are in possession of a loaner laptop, treat it as if it were your own computer. You will be responsible for any damage to the unit or for its loss. You must return the loaner laptop unit within 24 hours of being notified that your computer has been repaired so that others who need a loaner laptop will have access to one. All loaner laptops will be collected before the end of each academic quarter.

These laptops are modern managed and may take an hour or more to setup after the user logs in.  Depending on the academic software needed, it may take an additional hour or more to install before the laptop is ready for use.  These laptops will only work for users with a valid faculty/staff/student account.  There is not a generic login available.
