PURPOSE:
How to share files/ folders in OneDrive
APPLIES TO:
Microsoft account users
Sharing Files/Folders in OneDrive:
- Open file explorer (Windows button + e)
- Find “One Drive – Rose Hulman Institute of Technology” in left panel
- Right-click and select “View online”
- Sign in with your RHIT credentials
- Right-click on title of the folder you want to share and click “Share”
- Select permissions/network from dropdown menu
- Click “Apply”
- Click on “Enter a name or email address”
- Start typing the last name of the user whom you want to share with
- The name of the user should automatically start to populate, click on the correct name
- Add additional names as needed
- Type a message (if necessary)
- Click “send”
- An email will be sent to the user(s) you entered
